Help Save Someone!
September 12, 2001
As most of our visitors already know we are going through
the worst terrorist attack ever in the United States. President
Bush is already calling it an act of war, probably because
of the magnitude of the damage that occured. There are still
buildings on fire and just before the writing of this article
the First Liberty Plaza partially collapsed. It's a large
building (743 feet tall, 54 stories high) that housed the
executive offices of NASDAQ among other things. Note that
these building were in no way "right by each other,"
it's at least several hundred feet from the towers to the
nearest building. Although New Yorkers are tough, I should
know since I lived there, they undoubtedly need help from
the rest of the country.
Although it seems that blood may not be too much of a problem
since all local Red Cross centers here in my current residence
in Ohio are packed with donaters as well as in NYC. The Red
Cross is still in need of numerous resources. I was happy
to find that Amazon.com
was excepting donations for the Red Cross and waived the normal
fees. Then I decided to give a little bit of what I had to
help the cause... Also note that this donation is tax deductible.
